The dangling kanzashi made of metal, the top part is sort of like a fan and it has little strips of metal that hang down like this[link]

Arg, Fav ^_^ :highfive: Love her expression, and her kimono :] Nothing i can say to enhance other than maybe.. try changing the background color to a maroon? But i know it's a drawing and you can't change it, but it's awesome ^__^

I thought maikos only had their lower lip painted . . . or am I wrong on that note?

Eh, I dunno. Despite a certain lack of depth in the clothing, this is a beautiful and vibrant piece. Good job.

This is so prettyfull and well painted... Um... just a little confusion, here, though. Is it a boy maiko or a girl maiko?

uhm.. maikos are ALWAYS girls. it's the "pre-level" to a geisha.

Lovely. It really captures the subject to its propar meaning, not a westernised version.

I love your painting. I actually mistook it for
a photo at first, one of the kind that had color
added to it after it was taken until I looked closer.
Only one thing bothers me. A Maiko's upper lip is never painted.
